Our Response to COVID-19

Our Commitment to You

Bike shops were deemed Essential Businesses at the onset of COVID-19. We couldn't agree more, and to that end we are committed to providing the safest environment possible for both our customers and our employees. We continue to follow CDC workplace guidelines and are coordinating with state and local health officials to ensure adherence to their policies as well. Like most businesses, we've made a few changes that we hope will allow us to continue serving our community safely and effectively. Here's a quick look at how your Sales & Service experience has changed at Motion:

WE'RE IN THIS TOGETHER

For both your safety and ours, we require masks for any customer that enters our store. We can't wait to see your smiling faces again, but for now we'll have to settle for your foreheads.
Our curbside check-in process helps us adhere to social distancing guidelines. When you arrive at the shop, please call us at 317.813.7433. One of our staff members will let you know when it's OK to come in. It's possible that there will be a line so please be patient and we'll get you in as soon as we can. Sometimes we play Patience by Guns n' Roses on the shop speakers as a gentle reminder. It seems to help.
To encourage social distancing, we've implemented staggered work schedules to reduce the number of people in the shop at any one time. Our temporary retail hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10a - 2p. We will be using the remainder of the work week to get caught up on service requests. Even if you see us in the shop, we ask that you only stop by during retail hours. Unless you're dropping off donuts. Donuts can be left at the front door.
Due to overwhelming demand, our inventory is very limited at the moment. We can order bikes and accessories if the manufacturers have them in stock, however we do expect shipping delays so please keep that in mind. It's best to give us a call before stopping by if there's something specific you're looking for.
Due to overwhelming demand, our service and repair turnaround times have been extended. If you need service, please call the shop and we'll do our best to get you on the schedule. Once we work through the current backlog we'll begin offering our standard turn-around times again.
Like most businesses, we're following CDC guidelines regarding preventative measures. This includes cleaning. Lots and lots of cleaning. We clean and disinfect the shop multiple times per day and we've increased cleaning for all touch-points in the store. Any time an employee interacts with your bike, we wipe it down and disinfect it afterwards. And we're making sure to keep our staff home if they are not feeling well or if they've been around someone who is unwell.
